Frontier Energy, Inc., an operator of the Food Service Technology Center located in San Ramon, CA, conducted a comprehensive commercial kitchen equipment demonstration of both the quantitative and qualitative benefits that can be realized through the use of innovative high-efficiency gas cooking equipment and advanced commercial kitchen ventilation systems. The demonstration was conducted in different types of commercial foodservice operations. The project was conducted under a grant from the California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) program and supplemented by funding from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Gas Company, San Diego Gas & Electric Company, numerous equipment manufacturers, and the respective demonstration sites.
