Gas Utility Industry Announces
Blue Flame Award Winner: Cleveland SGL40T1 Tilting Skillet
(Washington, DC) The Energy Solutions Center (ESC) is pleased to announce that its Blue Flame Alliance Consortium, dedicated to bringing new gas solutions to the commercial sector, including the foodservice industry, has selected Cleveland’s SGL 40T1Tilting Skillet (SGL 30T1) Tilting Skillet to receive the 2025 Blue Flame Product of the Year Award. Cleveland will be presented with the award at The NAFEM Show (North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers) Atlanta, GA on February 26, 2025.
Cleveland’s Gas Tilting Skillet goes to the next level of technology with high efficiency and speedy recovery, offering state of the art controls with digital time and temperature display with the ability to use a product temperature probe. This unit has an efficiency rating of 62% – 65%, which is an estimated 15% – 30% higher than the competition which equates to 50% faster boiling times. The 40-Gallon Gas fired Tilting Skillet uses a forced gas/air combustion system with electronic spark ignition. It is the only skillet to utilize a patented High/Low combustion switch to allow for better BTU input control. One of the additional benefits of this design is the burner system tilts with the pan. Conventional tilting skillets when tilted, causes the burners to be out in the open where they can be subjected to water, grease, and cleaning chemicals which can cause reliability issues, service calls and shorter lifecycle. It is virtually impossible to get water or anything foreign into the combustion area of the Cleveland skillet for improved reliability.
